Grace Cameron's Fight Against Rectal Cancer
Donation protected
On October 27th, 2022, Grace was diagnosed with Stage 3 Rectal Cancer - a difficult and frightening diagnosis.
On October 28th, 2022 - Moving quickly, the medical team decided to alleviate some pain and difficulty by performing an Ileostomy surgery. This is a procedure where an opening in the abdominal wall is created to bring the ileum, the lowest part of the small intestine, to the surface as a stoma. The stoma will be connected to an external bag to dispose of waste. This is supposed to be a temporary measure while Grace goes through Chemotherapy and Radiation Therapy.
The months ahead will be extremely challenging. After consulting local doctors and doctors at the University of Michigan, Grace and her medical team have a precise treatment plan to save her life. This includes Chemotherapy, Radiation Therapy, and Surgery over the next six months.
Due to the nature of this disease, Grace is currently unable to work as a Phlebotomist and is relying on the help of her family and friends. However, Chemo and Radiation Therapy are expensive, and we are humbled and grateful for any support you can provide.
In life, Grace is a photographer. A traveler. A wonderful aunt. A sister. A daughter and, most of all, loved by everybody's life she touches. Please help us fight this debilitating disease and give Grace back her life which brings so much joy to everyone around her.
