Grace De Leon’s Family Medical Fund

Grace was rushed to UnityPoint Bettendorf hospital for a heart attack on June 14th. Grace was found to be in acute heart and kidney failure. After a few days in Bettendorf, Grace was rushed to the ICU at UnityPoint Rock Island as her condition began to deteriorate and she had another heart attack. It was determined that her future would rely on having a very risky open heart surgery. Doctor’s in Rock Island did not feel comfortable with the risk attached and Grace was transferred, once again, to OSF St. Francis in Peoria, IL. Grace has been in OSF St. Francis since June 26th. Grace successfully had a quadruple bypass on July 11th.

This has been a financial challenge for Grace’s boyfriend Adan and Grace’s daughters who have barely left her side. They have been crashing at a cousin's house, staying in hotels, driving 2 -4hrs drives back and forth and having to eat out. All of this is slowly adding up financially.

Grace’s family is so thankful that friends and family have sent prayers and thoughts for Grace. Grace’s family has been supporting her throughout and could now use support from you. The funds raised would be used for gas, hotel stays, and food for the duration of Grace’s stay. Grace has now been in the hospital for over a month, and once she is well enough, will need to transfer to a rehabilitation center. Grace has come a long way, but still has a ways to go.
