Grace Liviana Jane Cook

This GoFundMe is set up by friends raising money to support the Najera-Cook family following the birth and unexpected loss of their infant daughter just a few short hours after she was born. Mother and father are Reyna Najera & Kyle Cook. They live in Tipton, MI with their 2 year old son Clyde.

On 12/30/23, Reyna went into labor and at some point, baby Grace and mom both became medically compromised. An emergency C-section was performed, and lifesaving measures began for both mom and baby Grace. Reyna endured many emergent situations , including preeclampsia and blood transfusions. The doctors did everything they could for several hours, but due to unknown reasons, baby Grace passed away in her mother’s arms approximately 3 hours after birth. She was 5 lb, 5oz., 17-3/4 inches, and absolutely beautiful.

We are hoping you may be able to assist this family financially while they are overwhelmed with trauma and grief. Reyna will have extensive medical bills, Kyle is off work to take care of Reyna and Clyde, not to mention time to grieve the loss of his daughter as well. There are funeral and burial expenses, and bills that are looming. They need groceries and food support while they attempt to navigate through the pain of returning home from the hospital without Clyde’s baby sister.
