Supporting Grace through legal crisis

Our beloved friend Grace is a pillar in our community. She’s a friend, emotional support, and mom. She always brings a warm smile and often a warm dish (unless it’s cold watermelon gazpacho for a hot day).

Grace has faced one intense challenge after another lately. She recently lost her job, and last weekend she was arrested for a missed court appearance and her car was impounded.

Jail is terrible for everyone who’s incarcerated, but for a trans woman, it can be particularly traumatizing. Luckily, Grace has a robust community looking out for her and providing support, but we need your help paying for it all. We’ll need money to potentially pay a lawyer, get her car out of impound, help cover expenses while she’s in jail, and make sure she has access to the support of her community (the jail charges for every message we send her, every call she makes to us, and almost every visit we make). All proceeds will go directly to supporting Grace & her housemate.
