Gifts of Grace for the Hudsons
Donation protected
On Thursday, September 1st, 46 year old William Hudson was approached by a resident at the extended stay hotel where he worked overnight security & shot 14 times, being hit by 8 of the bullets. Will had been working there for 6 years, the resident that shot him had lived there for 2 years. He has sustained multiple injuries in his lung, diaphragm, liver, colon, hip, arm, leg & back. He has had 2 long surgeries to stabilize & repair those injuries.
That morning his wife Michelle was up early doing her devotional when she received a call from the chaplain at the hospital informing her that Will was shot multiple times & rushed to the hospital in critical condition, sent straight into surgery & she needed to get there ASAP. She loaded their 2 children Janiah (10) & McKinnley Jacqui (9) into the car & they rushed to the hospital. They had to wait 4 hours before hearing that he was shot a total of 8 times & finally stablized.
This is going to be a long road to recovery!
Will has 5 children total-
William Durrell- 24
Taisa- 22
Rayvaun- 20 (stepson)
Janiah- 10
McKinnley Jacqui- 9
Will has always been a very community minded person that looks out for everyone else. He is a man of integrity & kindness with a big heart. He has literally given the shoes off of his feet to help someone out.
The company he was working security for did not offer health insurance, so he does not have it at this time. Please prayerfully consider any way you could help this family get thru this crises!! All donations & prayers are greatly appreciated!
(All funds donated will go directly to his wife Michelle to pay medical bills, household bills & any other provisions needed for the family while Will is out of work.)
We will post updates as progress is made in his recovery.
God bless you for reading this, praying, & giving in the name of Jesus!
