Gracemount Primary School Library & Lunch Stop
Hi everyone,
My name is Gary Grennan and I am a primary school teacher at Gracemount Primary School. For the month of March I plan to run at least 100km with the hope of raising funds for two ongoing projects in our school.
I am also happy to update this to let you know that a fellow teacher Stuart McLeod will join the 100km goal, and headteacher Greg Dimeck has committed to doing 1000km on his bike!
Firstly, Gracemount Primary is in the process of renovating their school library. We are a big school with a drive to instill a passion for reading in all our pupils and we know that having a warm, comfortable, and welcoming space which is well resourced with a wide range of quality books will play an important part in achieving our whole-school goal. Money raised will go to purchasing new furniture and a wide range of exciting books which span a variety of reading levels and genres.
Secondly, Gracemount Primary School has been providing for the local community with the Lunch Stop which has been in operation since the Covid lockdown, providing families with free basic essentials such as food, clothing, school resources, and many other necessities. The Lunch Stop has thrived on the kind donations of local businesses and companies who have got above and beyond in their generosity.
Any amount donated will greatly help the pupils in the school further develop a love of reading, and the families in the local community.
Thank you for taking the time to check out this page. I will be posting regular updates on my running progress and a big thank you for making a donation!
