Grace's Global Impact Art Drive
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Grace and I am doing a fundraiser for my 7th-grade Global Impact Project. My project is to donate supplies to children in the hospital. My overall goal is to get kids art supplies to use while staying in the hospital. I was born with a congenital heart defect so this project means a lot to me. When I was in the hospital for open heart surgery it helped me to be able to draw and paint, it took my mind off all the stress and worry. I know how stressful it can be to stay in the hospital as a kid, and I believe all kids should have the opportunity to draw and be creative during hard times. I have had 2 open heart surgeries and have had many hospital visits. As I grew up I began drawing and painting, I'm really glad I did because it got me where I am today. To this day I still draw and paint I have begun entering art contests. However, I wanted to give kids the same opportunity that I had. In October of 2021, I had my 2nd open heart surgery and looking back, being able to draw was almost an escape for me. It helped me with my anxiety while staying in the hospital. My goal is to raise money to buy art supplies for kids staying at the University of Michigan Mott Childrens Hospital in Ann Arbor Michigan. All the money I raise I will use to buy and donate, to help kids who might be staying in the hospital.
