Grace's recovery from multi-injury ski accident
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Cami, and I am fundraising for my best friend since 2016, Grace Lasher. Grace graduated from VLACS this past June and has been attending Keene State since August for safety management and economics. She is a smart, strong beautiful soul who works hard and cares about everyone deeply. Grace started 2024 with a major multi-injury accident while she was skiing for the first time. As she was going down the mountain a little boy fell in front of her so she swerved out of the way to protect him, resulting in her losing control and falling into a decently sized ditch, slamming into a pole sideways. She was rushed to the hospital with two of the most painful breaks you can have and underwent surgery with the chance of having more of them in the future. She is currently in the hospital, soon to be in rehab, and after that will be sent home on bedrest for six months. This has forced her to go right back into online schooling and take a long time off from work. Once she is home she is going to need constant care from her amazing parents Miranda and David, who also take care of her two younger siblings. Because of this, they will be taking a lot of time off work. She will need many accommodations for a long time, and this injury will affect her for the rest of her life. On top of all of these things, medical costs are very high and Grace needs support.
