Bring Back Gracias Christmas Cantata Through Film!
Tax deductible
Millions of people have witnessed the Gracias Christmas Cantata live since we started touring the U.S. in 2013. It’s hard to believe almost a decade has already passed and how far we’ve come in bringing joy to audiences everywhere.
In 2019 alone, we visited 29 U.S. cities and performed in front of 180,000 people. The truth is, we owe this movement to our fans and concertgoers. They showed up, showed their support, and showed us what true happiness is all about.
Then the COVID-19 pandemic happened. The world shut down. Broadway shuttered its doors. And live events were the last thing on people’s minds.
But for us, Gracias Christmas Cantata was top of mind. We had no way to bring people together in a theater or arena. We had no way forward. It was the greatest problem we’ve faced as an organization. We thought, what can we do without an audience? Would we be able to recover from this global standstill?
It was in that dark moment of reflection when a problem became an opportunity. And Gracias Choir decided to turn the beloved Gracias Christmas Cantata into a cinematic experience that could be enjoyed and felt farther and wider. This is no longer about people coming to us…we must find our way into homes across America. To spread the message of family, of Jesus, and of hope.
We’re now busy producing our live film adaptation, and we plan to distribute this show across as many platforms and media channels as possible—for free, for a long time to come.
This is a large-scale effort. And we’re working through equipment costs, travel expenses to go on location for shooting, and studio rental where we film crucial scenes. The bottom line is we can’t do this alone. We’re now in need of monetary support to make the quality of this film the best it can be.
Join us in bringing Gracias Christmas Cantata to more people than ever before.
Important note: all contributions are tax deductible to the fullest extent of the law.
