Gracie’s Spinal Surgery
Donation protected
Our family & myself is raising money for our baby Gracie. Our dachshund Gracie woke up one morning and was paralyzed from the hips down, we took her to an emergency hospital and she was diagnosed with IVDD. IVDD is when there is a slipped disc that puts pressure and inflammation on the spinal cord causing paralysis from the disc down. Gracie can no longer use her back legs and no longer has control of her bladder and bowel movements. Our sweet girl is in rough shape. The sooner we can get this surgery, the better chances of full recovery. Gracie is only 5 years old and is way too young for this to even be happening to her. We wish we could have seen the signs and somehow prevented this because it breaks our hearts seeing our baby in this condition. She is apart of our family, and when we woke up that morning and Gracie was all of sudden paralyzed with no warning or cause—our whole lives took this terrible turn. We cannot imagine this life for her at all, as she is normally a very active pup. She loves to dart around our yard, chase our outside kitties, zoom up and down our hallway, and loves to run. Her whole demeanor has changed since she’s not been able to do those things. The surgery cost is too hefty for us to take up on our own and we fear we won’t be able to help her in time. Anything helps, even just prayers. Every cent we raise will be used towards her recovery. We’re just trying to save our baby girl.
