Anais’s Road to Recovery Fundraiser

Hello, I am Aunt Zulma and I am reaching out to ask for your support for my niece, Anais. She is currently in the hospital battling severe acute post-ERCP pancreatitis. Anais's journey began on March 24 when she went to the ER with intense abdominal pain. What was supposed to be a routine surgery to remove her gall bladder turned into a more complicated situation as stones were found in her common bile duct, causing blockages.

As a result, Anais underwent an Endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography procedure to remove the stones and insert a stent. Unfortunately, she developed severe acute post-ERCP pancreatitis, a rare complication. A recent CT scan on March 31 revealed that her pancreas is greatly inflamed with signs of infection and fluid buildup. She is currently on a feeding tube, sipping liquids, and experiencing intermittent fevers and a high white blood cell count.

Anais is under the care of a dedicated medical team who are confident in her recovery, but it will take time. She is expected to remain hospitalized until her pancreas shows signs of improvement. As a school teacher, she is now facing a long road to recovery, with the additional stress of loss of income and out-of-pocket medical expenses.

We are asking for your support to help alleviate some of the financial burden Anais is facing. Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a difference in her recovery. Your generosity will allow her to focus on healing without the added worry of mounting bills.

Additionally, as she looks towards her recovery, she will need to stock her pantry and fridge with healthy ingredients for recuperation and ongoing health maintenance.
