Graduating the Hair & Chopping for Wigs for Kids!
Tax deductible
Hey y’all, I’ve been growing my hair out since the pandemic began, and after almost 4 years, I’m graduating it, giving it a degree, and letting it go - to Wigs for Kids!
Growing my hair out started off as just a “It’s Covid, so let’s just do it” look, but it became a learning experience for me. Figuring out how to tie up my hair in each length stage, learning proper hair care (using 5x the amount of shampoo/conditioner), and eradicating knots while breaking brushes, gave me an appreciation for the work that goes into having long hair.
I also suffered from hair loss for a season. It was just a bald spot on the left side of my head, but those were the most stressful and embarrassing times of my life: wearing a cap to cover it up, and worrying if I had a life-threatening health condition. My brief experience with hair loss makes me glad to donate my hair now to those who still struggle!
So along with donating my hair to Wigs for Kids, I wanted to invite y’all to join me in making a greater impact for kids with hair conditions, and to help empower those who struggle with the unfairness and vulnerability that comes with this unique issue. And on 3/7, I will donate all the funds, my hair, and $100 to Wigs for Kids.
Thanks for reading this, and let’s make kids feel empowered!
