Rest in peace Great Grady Hunter

It is with a deep sadness and a heavy heart that I try to find the words to express the loss of my brother and best friend Grady Hunter.

Anyone who knew Grady knew he lived to make people laugh (mostly himself), kidding and joking and not really taking anything too seriously. That was just his way. He lived his life to the fullest and put his care for everyone else before himself. He'd empty his pockets if it meant helping someone he loved.

We have created a GoFundMe to assist with expenses (cremation, funeral, headstone, etc.) that come with putting such a special person to rest. His wish was for his ashes to be laid with our Mom (Gloria----) in Hinton. I will be getting a headstone with both of their names. Any extra funds collected beyond our goal will be put into a trust for his nephew, Grady Banks (5mo), who was named after his amazing Uncle. This was something Uncle G talked of often and was looking forward to starting. He didn't love children but man was he excited to be an Uncle. He was by my side through a long and complicated labour and didn't leave until we went home with baby a couple days later. You couldn't have met a prouder Uncle.

He'd want you to know that if he owes you a drink and you can find him in the afterlife, he's waiting to buy you another with a cigar in hand. After all, he always said there wasn't anything that couldn't be made better with a cider. With that, well-wishers are encouraged to toast and have a drink in Grady's honour.

I miss him. I'll never stop missing him. My little brother.
