2022 Grafton Food Bank Annual Appeal
Tax deductible
Thank you for visiting the 2022 Grafton Food Bank (GFB) Annual Appeal page. We appreciate your support of this important mission to assist Grafton residents in need of food relief.
Confronted with the ongoing effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Grafton Food Bank had a busy, productive, and challenging year. The Food Bank:
* Provided food relief to nearly twice the number of families as pre-pandemic (2019)
*Reopened in June 2021 for in person shopping while continuing to provide families with supplemental grocery gift cards through the end of 2021
*Increased the number of vendors we work with to contend with varying cost and supply fluctuations with food and non-food items we purchase each month
*Added additional shopping hours on distribution days to better accommodate the needs of our families
*Funded rides through the Grafton Senior Center bus service for eligible guests to get to/from the Food Bank on distribution days
*Utilized an automated calling system to notify our families of information they need to be aware of in a timely fashion
*Distributed fresh produce throughout the summer months thanks to our friends at Grafton’s Community Harvest Project
*Established a new partnership with the Worcester County Food Bank
*Distributed holiday food baskets and grocery gift cards in November & December
*Organized holiday Gifts For Children program with the help of sponsor families
The Increased Need in Grafton Continues.
While we are still in the grips of the COVID-19 pandemic and continue to operate in a modified capacity, your contribution to the GFB Annual Appeal will immediately help decrease food insecurity for friends, neighbors and the growing number of families in the community in need. Our commitment to fulfilling the mission of the GFB is unwavering and we thank you in advance for your support.
