Save Granada Books

It is with heavy hearts that we come to the Santa Barbara community and beyond to ask for your help. Granada Books: A Community Bookstore has worked very hard to become a gathering place for ideas, inspiration, and most importantly, where you can come in and walk among the books.
This is a challenging time for the independent bookstore in the realm of on line merchandising and the deep discounts of mega-chain stores. What they cannot give is personal attention, a choice of several books recommended by an informed bookseller, nor the opportunity to discover an author you never knew about until you saw their book on our shelves.
We are hoping to raise $50,000 to bridge our operations through to profitability. This is the minimum we need to succeed. If 50 people were able to donate $1000 (or bring together 5 book loving friends at $200 each) to save Granada Books, your community bookstore from day one, we could do this. There are no donations too small or too large for this effort.
Given this extended time frame, through your financial support, we believe we can continue to build our business beyond the normal growing pains of a fledgling enterprise and establish Granada Books as the literary anchor of downtown Santa Barbara.
You can help us keep The Dream alive with your contribution. The entire team at Granada Books: A Community Bookstore thanks you.
