Grand Prairie Fine Arts Academy 2021 SENIORS
Donation protected
As everyone knows this year in education has been very different. I am a principal at a National Blue Ribbon Fine Arts Academy. My students have not been able to perform or compete since this time last year. Therefore, my Seniors have had less than an optimal senior experience. We even had to cancel prom - which means the 2021 Seniors will never experience prom (since it was cancelled last year due to Covid as well). We are wanting to celebrate our SENIORS in a VERY BIG WAY during FOUR Socially Distanced FUN Senior Activities .
I have 90 Seniors and my goal is to give each a gift that will help their transition into college. We will play different games where the winners will get one of the prizes. From towels, shower shoes, bath caddy to AirPods, backpacks, iPad devices, and so on.
Public schools do not have money to do things like this because it is not necessarily part of the educational process. We are very blessed with a fantastic school district and school board! They have funded numerous activities, trips, competitions, performance, instruments and so on. However, this is type of expenditure must be done through fundraising.
I can't imagine being a Senior who didn't have the opportunity to go to prom, or to compete, or to be with my friends... they have missed out on so much!
I landed on $4,500.00 for a goal because that would be approximately $50 per student. I don't want to ask the senior parents to help because then they could have just bought it for their kiddo.
For those of you who had Fantastic Proms and still have stories to tell about that night - Help me fund a night similar for them - Except it follows Social Distancing Rules and Loads of Prizes to win.
Thank you for considering helping.
You can donate dollars OR if you know a business that would donate items OR a business donor that would contribute money toward the cause I would appreciate it.
THANK YOU AGAIN!
