Grand Traverse Ski to Save Red Lady!

Help us get to the finish line! Red Ladies Laura Yale and Julie Nania are skiing the Grand Traverse together and raising money to benefit High Country Conservation Advocates (HCCA).

HCCA has spearheaded our community's effort to prevent a large-scale mining operation at the headwaters of the Gunnison Valley. For decades local citizens have joined this effort and shown their support for Red Lady through creative demonstrations.

In 1980, an intrepid group of Crested Butte locals even strapped on nordic skis and headed over the divide to Aspen as part of this protest. The spirit of our adventure is to embrace this past, and celebrate where we're at now- closer than ever to a Red Lady forever mine-free.
