Lindas Cancer Treatment

In July Linda was diagnosed with stage 4  metastatic colon cancer (it has spread to several places).  Linda was a nurse for 35 years and always went above and beyond to help her patients as well as strangers and lo ved ones. Linda now has found herself as the patient and in need of her loved ones.
She has been trying to pay everything out of pocket but the cost of her health care and co- pays alone are overwhelming. If we left it up to Linda she would never ask for help and just go without.

Linda has not only raised 6 children of her own but also children that were not her own.  She's been "mom" to many. She has been the staple for our family and now we are eagerly trying to raise money to help her.

When we heard the news of her cancer and the aggressive treatment planned  which includes surgery to remove some of it, port placement and at least 6 months of chemo, we were very alarmed not only about her health and future but the cost and impact that she would be facing.

She is in her 7th chemo treatment and is battling without complaint.  With many more treatments to go, Linda battles nausea, vomiting and migraines constantly, she is losing weight quickly, and fights to keep her strength.  The doctors are hopeful and are modifying and adapting her care frequently.
As her kids have been trying to help her with costs of everything it is just a huge financial challenge.  One niece is using her retirement to help with co pays but we are just scratching the surface. So, as a family we decided to make a gofundme account and raise money for our amazing Mom. 

As she is a wife, mother, grandmother, niece, aunt, friend, teacher, leader, gracious giver, retired nurse and so much more, we as her family are asking for your help.
