Hello all! We are the Nunn family and we are in need of your support right now! Our father, Grant and his wife/our mother, Suzy were due to depart on their lifelong dream of building a home and creating a community for all to share. Unfortunately, this came to a halt when Grant went in to have a “bump” checked out on his head. After the results came in from an MRI urging him to go directly to the ER one Saturday morning, we knew then our lives were all going to change. After running countless tests, it was discovered that Grant had cirrhosis of the liver and that he would need to undergo brain surgery to remove a 7x7 cm tumor in his brain that had protruded through his skull. After 6.5 hrs of surgery, Grant had come out of anesthesia without any mobility of his entire body. When our father walked in there he was told he would go home 72 hrs post surgery and "would be walking out of the doors on his own two feet." Unfortunately, that did not happen. Days later, the results came back from the tumor as hepatocellular carcinoma. His Hepatocellular carcinoma is an aggressive liver cancer in the 4th stage that metastasized from his liver, pancreas, and to his brain. Unfortunately, Grant also has Thrombocytopenia working against him, which is making it difficult to treat this aggressive carcinoma.

WE CAN BEAT THIS!!!!!!

Grant Nunn is a husband, a grandfather, father, son, brother, and a great friend to us all. A man who would lay his life on the line for a complete stranger. He is an incredible, generous, and strong soul. Always quick to lend a hand or a shoulder to lean on. A simple man that lives on the principles of loyalty, honor, and respect for all life.

He has a long road ahead but he is very determined and is already in the fight for his life. He has a tribe standing firmly behind him. He has maintained a very positive outlook and his sense of humor is as grand as ever. Grant is highly motivated, driven and focused on his recovery. And says “I just want to see Harlow swim again” about his granddaughter whom he loves and admires.

He and his wife had lived off of two full-time incomes that have been drastically cut down to one part-time income coming from his wife Suzy. When not at work, our mom Suzy is spending every single waking moment she can fighting alongside him with an army of support from family and friends.

This aggressive cancer, unfortunately, is resistant to some conventional treatment methods. And we are trying to balance with a holistic approach. He is going to require acute rehab to regain function of his body, followed by home nursing agency and the ability to just simply maintain a roof over their heads. His therapy is not going to come cheap and many home remodeling tasks will be needed in order for him to adjust and to be comfortable in his new way of life.

Our father Grant has been a father figure and mentor to literally hundreds of kids, teens, and adults. He never locked the doors, both literally and figuratively. Now is the time he needs us most. If you are not in a financial position to make a donation we would appreciate a simple prayer for Grant and his family. We will continue to share and keep you all informed on Grant's progress and recovery. Thank you for your donation. We are eternally grateful for all of your love and support.
