In 2018, Emerson Grant was diagnosed with stage  3 pancreatic cancer.  After 8 months of intensive treatment, the cancer is now stage 4 and the treatment plan has switched from shrinking it to containing it.  

Emerson and Melissa have done their level best to make lemonade out of this dire situation. They were married in a small ceremony on June 17,2018, shortly after the diagnosis.  Following 6 months of intensive treatment, during which Emerson was often hospitalized, the cancer is not responding and is again growing, which rules out the surgery option that we were all hoping for. They are currently focused on end of life planning and maximizing their time together.

Emerson and Melissa need love and support to help with the difficulties they are facing. In addition to significant medical bills and prescription costs, they are dealing with other mounting expenses for a new furnace, car repairs, funeral and legal expenses related to all of the above. 

Like all diagnosed with this terrible condition,  I can't stress how unfair it is that Emerson and Melissa are faced with this harsh reality at the very moment of their coming together.  We appeal to all of their friends and family to help in any way you can. And please spread the word to those who know them.
