Hi, my name is Grant Memmott. I am 14 years old. And love riding bikes!!! I have always loved trying new things on my bike and learning new skills. In 2019 my dad gave me my first trials bike and said I could have it if I rode it every day; I have ridden it nearly every day from then until now and continue to ride my bike every chance I get! This helped me improve a ton! I have practiced so hard and wanted to compete in a trials competition, and on June 18, I had the opportunity to compete in the North American trials competition in Arkansas. My dad, older brother, and I drove in our van to Arkansas so I could compete in the trials competition, and I took 2nd place competing against mostly adults! Because of my placing at the North American trials competition, I qualified to compete in the UCI World Youth Trials Competition in Poland! I am practicing hard to get ready to compete in Poland, and my bike has had its fair wear and tear from riding it so much and needs some new parts. I also have to get to Poland! And going from Utah to Poland is not a short trip. The cost to fly to Poland to compete is expensive, and I could really use some support to pay for travel expenses, as I am leaving in only a few short weeks!!!
