My name is Kathy Bowser, and I’m asking for a little of your time to read my family’s story.

My Son and Daughter in Law, Cody and Megan are the young parents of Gracie (5 Years) and Elsie (1 Year). When Gracie was almost 3 years old, she was rushed to the hospital due to strange medical issues and was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. The events after they had spent days in the hospital were hard to take in. Poking tiny fingers and watching your child cry with 3-4 shots in the arm daily, figuring out how to give meds so she would be healthy and grow, waking her at all hours of the night to take blood in order to monitor sugar levels, and then all medical bills rolling in were very difficult to deal with. On Tuesday, January 9th,2024, Our littlest babe, Elsie, was rushed to the ER after she collapsed and was struggling to breath. She was basically in total body and organ shut down and was very close to dying. Thank God she survived! Elsie was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes also. After days in the ICU, this tiny warrior pulled through and made it home for the long recovery she is facing.

These strong little girls will both have a lifelong battle of health issues with this diagnosis. As a mother, and Grandmother, it’s heart wrenching to watch this. Cody has good insurance, but it doesn’t cover everything. The medications, hospital bills, Doctor bills and everything that goes with this are Astronomical! I’m hoping that I can help raise money for this little family, in hopes it will at least ease a portion of the hardship they have coming their way. We are blessed to still have both these little miracles in our arms and are doing everything in our power to keep them!
