Solidarity with the Camps

Tens of thousands of camp residents are suffering from impossible living conditions in the camps of the West Bank, including water and electricity cuts for long periods of time, and the inability to move, walk and communicate in light of destroyed roads and sewage overflow, which also impacts health, environment, etc.

This has been especially difficult for vulnerable groups such as children and the elderly. In addition, the continuous aggression has contributed to widespread unemployment among youth, women and families. Due to the lack of any work opportunities the past 5 months, they are unable to cover the most basic living needs.

Through this campaign, we look forward to strengthening the steadfastness of the people and building an infrastructure of mutual aid and solidarity within the camps through the following:

First: Ensuring the provision of basic services (livelihood, health, etc.)

Second: Developing community initiatives to serve the needs of different groups such as: first aid, psychological and health care for the elderly and children, especially those with disabilities, autism and other severe health conditions, restoration of homes and community centers that were destroyed, preparing meals during the month of Ramadan, documenting people's testimonies and publishing them in the media and on social media pages.

Third: Developing productive economic initiatives to build autonomy such as: rooftop farming, developing women's economic projects, etc.

This campaign is organized by the Popular Art Center, in partnership with community institutions and active youth and student groups at the national level, especially within the targeted camps.
