Grateful in the midst of tragedy: Headrick Family

Hello everyone, we need your support! We would like to say thank you for taking the time to read and share our story to help our brother, Dave.
First, we are so thankful that Dave is here with us. Back in May, Dave was involved in a gun accident leaving him in the ICU for 9 days and on a very long road of recovery.
On May 12, a 9 mm round entered and grazed the right side of his chest, then entered into his right bicep. The bullet fragmented into 3 parts; one exiting the back of the bicep, the other two traveling down his right arm, exiting out of his inner wrist and through his hand between his fingers.
Wow! We are so thankful that he is still with us and we all realize how much worse this could have been.
The injuries have not only kept him out of work, they have also racked up an overwhelming amount of hospital bills.
Dave has undergone 3 surgeries to repair the damage; one surgery that included removing a vein from his leg (thank God for scientist and doctors).
We will not know the final outcome of his last surgery for another 12-14 months due to the extensive damages to the median and ulna nerves.
Dave has just competed 10 weeks of occupational therapy, which increased his mobility in his right hand from 5% to 30%. We are so thankful for this small improvement!
Dave has been able to return to work recently as in an inspector but only part-time.
Dave is our oldest brother and in true older-brother form, he is always the one helping us out. We would love to help him this time, we would appreciate any amount you can give to help relieve the financial burden this accident has put on our beautiful family.
