Gravestone to commemorate the life of Valerie DesRosiers

Donation protected
I am Benjamin Herbert, and I am looking for help to raise funds with the sudden passing of my mother - Valerie King (Maiden Name - DesRosiers). My mom was an amazing woman, who always gave everything she had for her family and loved and cared for her friends deeply. Whether it was physically, emotionally or spiritually, she would be there for you. She leaned heavily on her life experiences to always give advice on others problems with hopes she could guide them to a righteous path. Her love for me and my 2 brothers was unparalleled. She single-handedly raised 3 boys into men that value her teachings and also show the utmost respect for the term "family". Her passing was a shock that none of us have truly absorbed yet, but I pray she rests easy knowing her children will carry on her legacy with our actions.

Our mother was a fantastic singer. She had the voice of an angel and as a child I remember hearing her sing along to songs on the radio thinking she sounded better than the artist actually performing the song. All of our love for music came directly from her. She was also an amazing home cook. Whether it was some easy box recipe, or one of her authentic Armenian meals - everything she made had her massive amount of love poured into it. She taught all of us how to share the love in our own cooking, and also taught us the values of cleaning/maintaining our home so we could grow into better providers for our own families.

Our mom didn't have a college education, but was a very smart woman. Most of her employment history was spent in the medical field. Whether working with large hospitals or smaller private practices, she always made a difference and her work ethic was always praised by her colleagues. It's only fitting that the amount of love and care she spent in personal lives, was also reflected in her job history.

The trending theme here is passion. Our mom was filled with passion and it was exuded in everything she did. With mom it was all or nothing, and very very rarely was it ever "nothing". She gave her heart and soul into everything she did, and I all can do is hope to emulate that as best I can to honor her.

We love you Mom. There will never be a day that goes by that I don't miss you, but at the same time there will never be a day that goes by where I'm not proud to be your son. Life wasn't always easy, but it was always easier with your guidance. May you Rest In Peace forever until you're loved ones can re-join you in the next life.

All proceeds of this fundraiser will go to purchasing either a headstone or a memorial plaque to mark my mom's grave. Thank you so much to everyone.
