Gray's Manor Farm barn raising
Donation protected
My name is Orlando and I am asking for help to build a barn.
Gray Manor Farm is a historically black and indigenous property located in Southern Maryland on the Western shore along the Patuxent river. This land has contributed to saving my life and now as a steward of this sacred land, I wish to continue the legacy of this land being a sanctuary through welcoming youth and those in need. In order to persist in such outreach to the community, a barn will allow the facilitation of groups and comfort year round. Infrastructure of a barn and its multi-functional possibilities will make the dream of having a learning center and library for visitors a reality. With a barn the mission of growing Gray’s Manor Farm, from a historical location which grows fruits, berries, medicinal herbs and tea, to Gray’s Manor Farm and Wellness Center, becomes ever tangible.
It has always proven difficult in asking for financial help from individuals equally experiencing common financial struggles or more. The realization of a barn and what its purpose at Gray’s Manor Farm struck me in one word, Community. This is not an effort in pursuit of individual gain but a means to help wholeheartedly the environment in which we exist. So I reach out, letting go of pride and ask family, friends, strangers and all who care and want to support to please donate what you can. A goal of $30,000, is what is needed to complete the building of a barn at Gray manors farm.
