Grayson's fight with Leukemia
Donation protected
Grayson was just another wild energetic 11 year old boy who played soccer every day and one day we thought he had gotten a concussion from one of his soccer games. All of his symptoms pointed to a concussion after multiple scans and test. The pain continued to get worse over the next two weeks and we were sent to Vanderbilt's children hospital in Nashville. On sept. 27 2021 we found out that all his body pain and concussion style symptoms was cancer. Grayson was Diagnosed with Burkitt's Leukemia. Burkitt's is a very aggressive version that grows quickly in the bone marrow and spinal fluid. Grayson's treatment is considered a shorter regiment of only 6 months, but during this time he will spend 1 out of every 3 weeks in the hospital until the chemo is complete. Each week he is in the hospital he will receive 3 lumbar punctures and chemo into his central line. Sadly Grayson body has not been reacting well and the first trip has been almost a month long. Due to the continuing growing cost of this long stay and being the first of many we are reaching out for help. Funds will go to medical cost, hospital stay cost and travel cost.
