Danakosha Ling’s Great Enlightenment Stupa Project

Danakosha Ling is seeking donations to complete the landscaping and path to the Great Enlightenment Stupa. The project will include the construction of a gathering space fit for festive gatherings and the planning and planting of a beautiful garden.

The Path to the Enlightenment Stupa

Fulfilling the grand vision of Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche, the construction of a Great Enlightenment Stupa has been accomplished at Danakosha Ling, Finland in the summer of 2023.

Danakosha Ling’s Great Enlightenment Stupa is a gift to Finland and to the entire world. It is auniquely authentic monument, crafted and blessed in line with tradition, both inside and out.

It is Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche’s vision that the Danakosha Ling Stupa becomes a treasured object of veneration and a sacred space for festive gatherings, welcoming devotees, spiritual practitioners, tourists and the general public, from Finland and beyond.

For this to happen, the Stupa’s surroundings must be made accessible, safe and agreeable, for the enjoyment of individual visitors and visiting groups. The landscaping and construction materials must conform with Finland’s unique climate, creating a supportive and welcoming setting for this precious monument.

We need your help

The Stupa, which is built on a hilltop overlooking the serene Finnish countryside, will be accesible by a walkway for pedestrians as well as a road for vehicles. The ground of the gathering space will be ornamented with brickwork.

Below is an outline of the work to be done:

Funding is required to hire excavators and trucks for moving many truckloads of earth. The purchase of additional earth may also be required in order to complete the project.

Supporting the Project

Our goal is to complete the project by autumn this year, so we can hold the inauguration in the summer of 2025. This is an ambitious objective, since the weather in Finland only permits this kind of groundwork in the warm season. Once the snows melt in Finland, we must move forward quickly with the excavation and construction.

Mindrolling Trichen Rinpoche as the third incarnation of the great Drubwang Rogza Sönam Palge Rinpoche, a Tibetan master from the 19th century. Tulku Dakpa Rinpoche studied at Mindrolling Monastery’s college in India for 9 years and is a certified holder of both Sutra and Tantra, teaching the precious Dharma according the the Nyingma tradition of Tibetan Buddhism.
