Great Lumley Infant School's SEN Children's Outdoor HUB

Hi my name is Kate, I am raising money to help Great Lumley Infant School create a safe space for our SEN children. My Son Easton is 5 years old and non-verbal Autistic.

I was told at the age of 3 that he would need an EHCP and that it would be best for him to attend a special needs school.

Two years later, thanks to the Great Lumley teaching team, he is still thriving with his friends.

He is valued and loved at school, he has learnt so much at the same time, teaching his friends all about Autism and how they can communicate in other ways than verbal speech with him.

The money raised will go to help kit out the new garden room and make a safe outdoor play space, enabling lots of little ones to play and enjoy their time at school without feeling overwhelmed.

It will also support many parents from having the unknown worry about their child's stability within the school system.

A special THANK YOU to Mrs Wilson (Head Teacher) and Miss Smith (Easton's one-to-one) he is a lucky little boy to have such support.

All funds will be collected by myself - Kate Thomson (Mother of Easton Thomson) then transferred over to Tracey Wilson - Head of Great Lumley Primary School, 100% of the funds will be used to purchase items and decorate the SEN Hub and outdoor space. We plan to have the Hub complete by the end of May 2025, we will share our story with everyone involved. (All financial proofs can be supplied upon request)
