Great North Swim - 2 miles in Lake Windermere

I swam 1 mile in Lake Windermere 12 years ago and said that I would return to do 2 miles. I was going to return 4 years ago in 2020 but, then Covid hit putting paid to doing it then.
Coming out of lockdown and returning to a new normal, I then had health issues (Cancer) which meant more delays to my return to Windermere.
With those obstacles now overcome, I am finally going to return this year. I am actually taking part on my 63rd birthday - quite a good challenge for it methinks!
I have chosen Dementia UK for my Fundraising Charity because I have had family members who were affected by different forms of Dementia. I also know others who are affected by this devastating condition now.

This cause means a lot to me because my (Auntie) Jean Cave and (Cousin) Diane Cave both had different forms of Dementia
Also someone who has quite recently been diagnosed with dementia (Daughter's MIL) Karen Hodgkinson mum
So I hope you will all support me in raising vital funds for this worthwhile cause.

Do you want to join me in making a difference? I'm raising money in aid of Dementia UK and every donation will help. Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to me.

Many Thanks
Christine
