GreenEarth Heritage Bridge Fund

This summer, my brother and cousins Jeremy, Lauren, Maddie, and I traveled to the Philippines to visit the Green Earth Heritage Foundation located in the foothills of the Sierra Madres Mountain Range in San Bulacan. Over the past couple of years, we have been helping the children of the farmers by raising awareness, tutoring in different academic subject matters, and collecting donations for school supplies and basic necessities, such as clothing and shoes. It was such a fun and eye-opening experience, and we loved getting to know the children through games like badminton, soccer, and Frisbee, as well as lessons in basic English vocabulary.

During our stay at Green Earth, we learned that one of the biggest problems the children, and the foundation as a whole, faces is the flooding of the local river following any rain, as it becomes impossible to cross with the water level rising from ankle height to greater than 10 ft. As such, a motorized raft will be of extreme use to the foundation, as it could not only shuttle people over the river, but also small vehicles like motorcycles and small cars, which are the most common forms of transportation in those areas.

My brother Jeremy has already contacted many experts with regards to the technical specifications of the raft, for example The Webb Institute, an undergraduate engineering college in naval architecture and marine engineering. Now all we need is the funding for the raft supplies, and so we kindly ask you today for a small donation, so that the people of Green Earth may access the foundation - their source of livelihood and education.
