Hi! My name is Music Producer Hot Mike , a.k.a., Michael Buckholtz. I'm an award winning, RIAA Diamond producer. Major credits: MC Hammer and label mates. 50 million records sold, to date. MC Hammer single handedly saved the historic Capital Records from bankruptcy. He was the first Hip Hop artist to go Diamond per RIAA. Our music video, TV and live performances were like experiencing a family friendly Las Vegas Residency. The Music Producer Hot Mike (HM) Brand is directly tied to and responsible for the MC Hammer Brand. More on this in a bit.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT: Music Producer Hot Mike is building an ambitious sustainable hybrid energy efficient audio/video recording facility, named Eighty-Five/Five Studios (85/5), that will house a lab for audio accessory R&D. This will require an Anechoic Chamber to be on-site. Not cheap, but, necessary for developing proprietary hardware and software. The first R&D project will be technologically advanced noise canceling headphones/earbuds. This will be a patented project, so, no more details to share. The facility will be 100% disability inclusive. There will even be custom equipment that will allow deaf creatives to compose music. Our space will be designed to accommodate the sensory considerations of autistic creatives. There is no compromise on this feature of the build. We will, also, serve as an Audio Engineering training facility. Work here as an intern/apprentice and leave fully certified, in connection with our Middle Georgia State University partnership, to join the fastest growing living wage making field anywhere in the world.
HOW FUNDS WILL BE ALLOCATED: Crowdfunding is the only reasonable solution for building something this unique for I do not have discrete multimillionaire/billionaire connections.
This will be a 5 year project built in Music City, Macon, Georgia (a.k.a MacTown), the home of Otis Redding, Little Richard, the original Chit'lin Circuit of the South and the legendary Capricorn Records and Studio. This is conveniently in the center of the state, known as Middle, or, Central Georgia. Best case is to raise an initial $2.82 million. This will secure the property (debt free), cover 36 months of expenses and allow the pulling of permits for immediate acoustic, electrical and HVac renovations. The first 3 months will consist of pulling together all parties needed for the project, after the property is obtained, then, renovations will commence. The plan is to have this construction journey diaried on the Hot Mike TV YouTube channel for the world (and GFM investors) to follow. Marketing an apparel line promoting Eighty-Five/Five Studios will compliment the project's funding sustainability.
- Total Raise: $4.7 mil ( $235k per quarter over 5 yrs)
- Property Purchase: $2 mil for 12k sq. ft. (w/building) on 3 acres

There will be savings from negotiations on the property purchase price and my own creature comfort salary to add to any overruns, acoustic reno or equipment needs. NOTE: None of this is for "luxury living". This is just an expensive endeavor. We need to do this right. We'll be responsible for paying contractors and a small handful of employees. I'll, personally, continue living as a minimalist. Similar to what Prince did at Paisley Park, I'll be residing and working at the facility site. There are no plans for me to live elsewhere. I've built studios from the ground up before. This is WAY more ambitious, so, I'll need other experienced professionals to help, thus, the expense. After reaching the "Total Raise" figure, no more GoFundMe funding will be needed...period. The studio should be operating on its own with all financial automation systems in place. I will continue to collaborate with other companies to enhance funding through my Hot Mike Brand partnerships. Yes. I'll be using my own resources as leverage to bring this project to full completion to ensure overhead is met. I'm laser focused on this with everything I've got!
2024 TEASER: Some exciting events are scheduled for Fall/Winter❄️ 2024. The overall goal is to involve long-term sponsor/partners and create weekly social media video (monetized) content to scale and help automate the facility's daily operations. I'm going at this like an elite athlete. Health, wellness and fitness are a top priority along with elevating my long-time brand profile by every ethical means necessary. All of this adds to the potential success of the campaign.
THE MC HAMMER CONNECTION: MC, himself, shared, with his 3+ million X.com followers, that meeting and spending time with me, during our military service years, was pivotal in shaping the personna internationally known as the "Hammer MC", today. He, privately, shared with me that I was the only one who could share (and I have his blessing) this untold part of his story. This project aims to continue the "Hype Hip Hop" legacy and positive family-friendly energy exemplified by the uplifting dance and lyrics of MC Hammer's performances and songs. With specific attention given to include disabled creatives into this project, the named Eighty-Five/Five Studios (85/5) will boast groundbreaking sustainable energy efficiency and the latest in technology for ease of access making the joy of creating more the focus.
