Greenpoint Holiday Lights
Donation protected
[UPDATE 10/25/20] BECAUSE OF US, GREENPOINT WILL HAVE HOLIDAY LIGHTS in 2020! THANK YOU to neighbors, friends, family, and fans of the Greenpoint community for supporting this fundraising effort. As a result of the many generous donations received, Greenpoint's Manhattan Avenue will sparkle with lights this holiday season!
IF YOU HAVE NOT YET GIVEN, and wish to participate, please feel free to donate. The more funds that are raised, the more strands of festive holiday lights we can string up and down Manhattan avenue!
[10/22/20] Local businesses cannot afford to fund the Greenpoint Holiday Lights this year. This means that Manhattan Avenue will be dark this holiday season.
For the first time in the history of the Greenpoint Holiday Lights, we are reaching out to all members of the community for help. If enough individuals and families come together, we can make sure that our great neighborhood is the site of much-needed cheer for all to enjoy!
Your donation, large or small, will help to turn the holiday lights back on. We have the best neighborhood in Brooklyn, New York City, and therefore the world!
Let's come together to bring some much-needed light to the darkness this winter.
"Strings of GREENPOINT HOLIDAY lights, even stoplights
Blinkin' bright red and green
As the shoppers rush home with their treasures
Hear the snow crunch, see the kids bunch
This is Santa's big day
And above all this bustle you hear . . ."
A special thank you to Brittney Migliaccio, manager at 'Illuminations by Arnold' which is the company that has put up the holiday lights in Greenpoint. Illuminations by Arnold has been behind the festive lights in Greenpoint for years, and will receive the funds raised from this fundraiser. A big thanks to Brittney for getting the holiday lights up so quickly so we can enjoy them all November and December!
