Greg Breidenbach's Road to Recovery

My name is Stephanie Kepley and I am raising money for Greg's medical bills and living expenses while Greg recovers from a horrible tragedy that occurred in Coconut Grove FL July 8 around 1230 am.

Greg was walking home from Oasis bar while celebrating an evening out with his roommate for her birthday. Greg knew he had to work the next day so he walked home alone like a lot of other nights in the Grove. He walked with his phone in his hand playing Cher and singing along. Greg does not remember much from the walk home except that he was beaten by numerous men and called a gay slur multiple times. He was found on the corner of Florida and Douglas after someone saw him on the ground and called 911. The police found him beaten and left unconscious on an abandoned property. Greg has broken bones in his left eye socket, left sinus cavity and left cheek. He underwent facial reconstruction on July 12th. Greg now has numerous metal plates on the left side of his face. I am raising money for Greg for medical expenses not covered by insurance and living expenses while he is out of work. Greg is expected to be out of work for a minimum of 2 months.

Greg is a member of the Women's Club of Coconut Grove where he serves on the Board of Directors. He is the Bingo Chair that raises thousands a year that goes back into the community. He is also the Hostess Chair at the Women's Club and participates yearly in the Mango Strut parade. He is employed by American Airlines as a flight attendant. Greg is friendly, outgoing and always willing to help others. Greg always has a smile on his face and would give you the shirt off his back. I am hoping any bit of money will make it a little bit easier for Greg to recover. I also want to bring awareness to this hate crime that Greg did not deserve!!!
