I had mentioned this at the end of December so it will be an update to many of you and news to those who may have missed it.  The kindness and loving words shown to me in replies to that post means everything to me!

For the last couple of years I've been battling cancer.  I've had my prostate and bladder removed, went through chemo and radiation treatments for lung and bone cancer and had surgery in August to remove blockage. That surgery didn't go very well and I spent 4 months in the hospital. I kept losing weight and getting weaker to the point of not being able to stand. I know I need the weight gain for energy and I've been able to hold it steady between 117 and 122lbs.

Once I was released from hospital I was placed in a nursing home where I remain for the time being to this day for rehab. Oh yes, add to all this the heart attack I had last Wednesday.

I am getting stronger and I know God is not finished with me yet.  With the prayers, love and encouragement I’ve been able to defy the doctors that gave me couple of months to live!  I now find myself at another Crossroads and hope that it might touch your heart. I don't find this easy by any stretch of the imagination. 

When I first found out the prognosis I filed for disability.  I could no longer work full time with dialysis 3 days a week and each visit taking 4 to 5 hours. Add to that the heart attack I had last week and it's not a pretty picture.  The issue is that the government doesn't get in a hurry for anything they are involved in. I've sold things to keep a roof over my head, but my resources were limited to begin with and I'm at the point now where this is nothing left to pay utilities or rent. I've been told several times that I should give gofundme a try. I feel that I haven't any choices left. I’m putting myself at the mercy of friends and family.  The medical supplies add up quickly...that which is not covered as does co pays, RX's not to mention the normal expenses such as gas, insurance and very well thought out grocery lists. Please remember this was not easy for me. I don't see how it could be for anyone. As you search your heart please know that any donation is appreciated. Thank you for your time and contribution.
