Hickory Corners Fire Club Fundraiser
Hickory Corners Fire Department Firefighter, Greg Garrett, is fighting for his life in the Trauma ICU since Christmas due to complications from Influenza A. Some of the complications are 7 broken ribs, a collapsed lung, developed respiratory failure and currently ventilator dependent. Many other complications have required intensive medical care.
Greg Garrett has faithfully served the Hickory Corners / Barry Township Community starting in 1989. Greg Garrett was awarded the Firefighter of the Year Award in 1991 and again in 2004. The Hickory Corners Fire Department and community has been the beneficiary of Greg’s selfless service for these past 33 years as he was usually the first or second to arrive at the station to get the fire apparatus to the scene to help someone else.
Greg has not only been an exemplary community servant but has an amazing family that has served along his side. In Greg’s footprints, Greg’s Son, Gregory Garrett, has served as a firefighter and his daughter, Emily Kidd, has served as a firefighter and is currently a paramedic. With all of this, Greg’s wife, Brenda Garrett, has supported her husband and kids to become pillars of the community.
At this time of need, The Hickory Corners Fire Club, humbly requests you to support this cause with a prayer, a share, and if possible a financial donation that will go directly to Brenda Garrett to help with the living, medical and future needs of this very deserving family. Thank you for your time in reading this and your consideration for this cause.
