My family's worst nightmare has come true. We lost my dad yesterday morning. He had been fighting an internal infection for the better part of a year, and he passed in his sleep. We are absolutely heartbroken and devastated. He was our rock, and we've depended on him so heavily for so many years. I feel completely robbed of a lifetime with my dad, and I now have to bring my daughter into a world with no Pa. I'm not ready to step on this new path without him. Please keep my family in your thoughts as we try to navigate through our grief

For those of you who knew my father well, knew he was in a great deal of pain for a long time. A few days ago my dad asked my mom to take him to the hospital because he was in immense pain and throwing up constantly. The hospital did absolutely nothing to help my dad. They left him in the hallway with a bag to throw up in. They didn't do any tests, scans, didn't give him medication for his pain or anything to help with the nausea. My dad told my mom he wasn't ready to leave the hospital because something was not right.
The night before he passed he told my mom he thought he was going to die and then ultimately passed during the night in his sleep. My whole family is extremely upset with the way the hospital handled this whole ordeal and maybe he would still be here today if they had actually taken him seriously and did something, anything for him.
My family needs answers and justice for my father. I know he would tell us to let it go. But we just cannot do that.
