Greg Haire’s Medical Expenses
Donation protected
We are making this page for Greg Haire. Greg is a loving and hard working father, grandfather, spouse, son, friend, colleague, and veteran. He has worked for the Lennar Homes for 11 years. He has always put his family and others first, not caring about his own personal wants or needs.
On July 13th, Greg called his wife Chris reporting chest pains. After arriving at the hospital, his blood pressure dropped and he had a seizure due to the loss of blood and oxygen to his brain. The doctors issued scans and found that Greg had an Aortic Dissection with fluid filling his chest cavity due to the aorta tear which required emergency open heart surgery. Through a grueling 7 hour operation, Greg came out stable and is recovering.
He has spent more than 6 days in the ICU, slowly trying to regain his ability to handle everyday tasks that he once was able to achieve. Walking, eating, and talking are just some of the day-to-day activities that Greg is struggling with. Greg will be moved to an inpatient rehabilitation facility as soon as his doctors approve of his discharge. There, he will spend another week until his team of specialists believe he is equipped to handle his home environment without the risk of further injury to his body.
Though the harrowing experience is over, Greg still has an extensive path to recovery. Any contribution to help assist with medical expenses, new elements needed for the road to rehabilitation at home and loss of income, would be greatly appreciated.
