Gregory F. Lukowiak, 84
Gregory F. Lukowiak of Nutley passed away on Tuesday August 30, 2016. Born and raised in Belleville, he lived in Bloomfield before coming to Nutley in 1997. Mr. Lukowiak was a retired truck driver. He had been employed as driver with Audible Audio Books and had previously been employed by G.W. Grace Trucking Inc. Greg also drove as a funeral livery driver with Barney Wolf Livery. Greg was an Army veteran of the Korean War and had been awarded 2 Purple Hearts. He was a former member of the Bloomfield First Aid Squad, a past member of the Nutley VFW Post and was active with Drum and Bugle Corps.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce (Wedekind) Lukowiak and his children, Greg Lukowiak, Jr., Debbie Conway and Michael Lukowiak. He also leaves his grandchildren, Felicia, Derek, and Caitlyn and his great grandchildren, Ryland and Renzyn and was predeceased by his parents, Francis and Anna (Koba) Lukowiak.
Relatives and friends will be received at the S.W. Brown & Son Funeral Home, 267 Centre St. Nutley on Saturday from 4-8 pm. A service will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday evening at 7 pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions will be accepted at the funeral home.
