My family is devastated by the loss of my husband Gregory Sinclair on April 7, 2024, after a brief illness. He was a loving husband, internationally renowned producer and director of audio dramas for CBC Radio and Audible Canada, instructor at Humber College, and director of award-winning films. For all his accomplishments, his most cherished role was that of devoted father to our three sweet, loving, and brilliant children. His greatest regret was that he would not live to see them realize their promise, their dreams, their full potential.
Our youngest son, William, is 16 and in Grade 10. He is an extraordinarily talented ballet dancer and actor who has already distinguished himself with outstanding professional performances. Greg was proud of Will’s quick wit and dazzling dance abilities and supported his talent wholeheartedly. Will is also an exceptional student, who plans to balance performance opportunities with university studies.
Our daughter Julia is 18 and in Grade 12. She plans to start university in the fall. She is an outstanding student, in both STEM and arts subjects. Greg was delighted that our daughter is a phenomenal math and science student. They shared a love of film, often trading quotes from screenplays and analyzing film technique.
Our eldest, Nicholas, 21, is a full-time engineering student. From our firstborn’s earliest days, Greg instilled in him a passion for learning about the natural world and scientific endeavors. Nicholas is devoted to his studies and his plans for biomedical engineering project management.
Greg worked tirelessly to support our family. A creative worker in the increasingly challenging gig economy, based in the steep-rent city of Toronto, he worked up until his final days. Your support will ensure his wishes for our children come true.
Any help is deeply appreciated. Gregory J. Sinclair was a lovable, inspiring, incredibly funny, and deeply insightful person. He is irreplaceable and we grieve his loss every day. We are grateful for your generosity.
