Gregory was battling with a very rare SCC bladder cancer , after having it misdiagnosed since 2017, he finally got an accurate diagnosis In October 2024. After having his bladder removed in December it was shown that the cancer was clear. Gregory in all his usual incredible strength returned to work and the young people he cared so deeply for. Shortly afterwards he started to suffer and the pain took him back to hospital and the terrible news the cancer had returned much more aggressively than before. After some time in Hospital Greg has a massive pulmonary embolism, which caused a heart attack and left him in coma for a week before we lost him on February 16th 2025.
Before Gregory passed away he made it clear that he wanted his life to be celebrated. This page is to help fund the elegant, vibrant celebration that he deserved- a 9 night, funeral, afterparty and his bday the day afterwards!
Gregory gave his life to others – he was a mentor and a role model to the dozens of young people he worked with whose lives were made better by what they learned from him.
Gregory had friends from every walk of life, and all ages and backgrounds. He made every single individual feel wanted and appreciated.Gregory was loving , cheeky, hilarious, caring and inspirational.
Gregory would do anything for his friends and family. He helped us over and over again. Now it’s our turn to make sure we give him the send-off that he earned!
When Gregory discovered he had a year to live he shared his wishes. Gregory wanted a charity set up in his name to help LGBTQIA+ youths who had been kicked out of home or were struggling. If we were able to raise enough money to cover the celebration then the rest would be used to start that charity in his name.
