Greg's journey to healing

Hi everyone, my name is Amanda Shoup. I've created this GoFundMe for my dad Greg Hummer and his wife Ginny in hopes that I can raise some money to help with any medical expenses, medicine, home care, missed time from work and typical living expenses as they have quite the journey ahead. My dad was recently diagnosed with Squamous cell carsinoma. It is a type of cancer with aggressive growing cells. His is located under his tongue. He's scheduled for surgery December 11th. They will remove everything under his tongue along with part of his jaw bone. He's expected to be in the hospital about 8 days following, but will return home with a feeding tube and a trache in his throat because his mouth will be too swollen to breathe from his mouth. After an estimated 8 weeks he should be able to begin the process of relearning how to use his mouth and tongue to speak and eat again. If you're able to donate, anything is appreciated.
