Grenada, Lauriston Village Carriacou Hurricane Relief

Lauriston on the Caribbean Island of Carriacou, which is 13 square miles and sister isle of Grenada along with Petite Martinique

Monday 1st July, Hurricane Beryl tore through the Windward Islands, making direct landfall on Carriacou and Petite Martinique. The islands were battered by 150mph winds, which left behind complete destruction.

The people are urgently in need of food, clothing, and financial support to help rebuild their homes and businesses destroyed by Hurricane Beryl. Your kind and generous assistance would be greatly appreciated at this time. God bless you as you help indigenes of this little island rise from the ruins.

You may wonder why I am helping these islands. I am deeply connected to the Carriacou community, being born and raised there. I have family members and friends living there who have been affected by Hurricane Beryl. I feel a strong sense of responsibility to help my people which is why I am organizing this fundraiser to support them and provide assistance during this challenging time.

Once the funds are raised through the GoFundMe campaign, we will ensure a transparent transfer process. We plan to work closely with local organizations, community leaders, and trusted individuals in Carriacou to identify and verify the individuals and families in need. Funds will be transferred directly to them through secure and reliable channels, such as bank transfers or cash payments, depending on the most suitable method for each recipient.
