My name is Gina, and Gren Village began with a dog named Grendel Marie.

Gren was my original potato. She was with me through every twist and collapse of my life. She was the foundation, the one who taught me loyalty, laughter, resilience, and just how deeply a dog can become part of who you are.

This village exists because she existed.

Gren Village was created in her honor with a simple mission: to give senior dogs a safe, loving, home-like place to live out their golden years.

Unlike a traditional rescue focused on adoption, Gren Village is a lifelong sanctuary. Dogs who come into our care remain here for life, with their individual needs, health, comfort, and quality of life at the center of everything we do.

What began as an idea inspired by one extraordinary dog is now a federally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and a registered charitable organization in the State of New Hampshire.

With these registrations in place, Gren Village can officially conduct fundraising efforts and events in support of the sanctuary and its mission.

Gren Village currently operates on a small, manageable scale, allowing us to provide individualized care while growing responsibly. Our long-term goal is to secure a permanent property that will allow the sanctuary to expand and welcome more senior dogs into our care.
