Grey Kitty AKA Roman needs your help!
Our Adams County Community CatsTNR team has been known to take on challenging medical rehabilitation cases (remember Wheezy, Stevie Wonder, Mystery Man, Princess Isabella, Sir Nick) and Roman is no exception!!!
This kitty is a bit different however. Most all of our other rehabilitation cases came to us in their special needs state. Roman however was first introduced to us as an older TNR cat 2 years ago. Nobody's Cats Foundation was kind enough to remove some abscessed teeth at the time of his neuter which gave him a new vigor! He began to gain weight and muscle and made new friends in his colony.
This winter however, something changed. He lost tremendous amounts of weight and became very frail. All of his problems are yet to be determined. He was found to have some common problems such as fleas, intestinal parasites and FIV but his underlying severe sinus disease is yet to be determined. Further testing once he is stronger will be necessary.
In the mean time, Roman is in foster care and is LOVING indoor life. He loves to be pet and just purrs and purrs to show his appreciation. It is possible that his long term prognosis may be guarded but we would love to see this special needs guy live what ever time he has left, in comfort in an indoor home with caring humans. This is the life he has been dreaming of. We may never know how he ended up a colony cat but we know now that his chosen place is in the comforts of home.
Can you help fund his medical care and his pathway to a "retirement" indoor home?
Estimate - $830
Disclosure:
Any funds collected in excess of funds needed for Roman's care will be applied to medical care for future special needs cats.
