Grice Gun Shop Is Conquering CHD!

For the month of February, American Heart Month, Grice Gun Shop is hosting a charity fundraising campaign to benefit Conquering CHD - Pennsylvania (Cchd-Pa). Grices will be MATCHING donations* and any size donation will help make an impact!* 

 

This cause is near and dear to our hearts. We know a child affected by a congenital heart defect (CHD) who had life saving open heart surgery at just 9 days old. Our little heart warrior friend is so tough and thriving now. God blessed them with such a good outcome with their surgery.  Many others are not so lucky. Our friend will need life long care for their condition. Raising awareness for CHDs is very important to their family. Many people do not know about congenital heart defects or how often they occur and affect families all over the world.

Raising funds for a charity that contributes to children with CHDs and their families is just one simple thing we can do to help those affected get support, resources and advocacy that they deserve!

 

We chose Conquering CHD to donate to because they provide families affected by CHDs with resources to navigate their new medical world with CHD and they fund research. They also provide connection for patients and families with similar situations, send care packages to hospitalized children, and advocate to raise awareness for congenital heart defects.

2-2-2022 UPDATE: 

We hit our original goal of $1500 within two days of launching the fundraiser!! HUGE thank you to anyone who contributed by sharing, talking about it, donating, and even just taking time to read about it!! Our family, friends, and community are solely responsible for blowing this fundraiser goal out of the water!

We are up for even more of a challenge, so we are increasing the goal to $5000. We are hoping and praying to surpass the new goal by the end of February to donate as much as possible to families affected by CHDs. THANK YOU ALL!!!! 

2-4-2022 UPDATE:

Just 4 days into this fundraiser and you all have matched the increased goal amount!! So, once again we are raising the goal! We want to raise as much as possible for this meaningful cause for the month of February. Words cannot accurately express our gratitude for the response to this fundraiser, the extremely generous donations, and sharing the information about congenital heart defects. We are truly humbled by this response and we cannot thank you all enough for making it possible!!!! 

2-8-2022 UPDATE:

You all are so amazing!!! Thanks to all who have contributed in any way to this campaign for Conquering CHD! We hit our 3rd goal amount already and we need to increase the goal AGAIN!!! I can’t believe how generous you all have been! Raising the goal to $10,000.00 has me so emotional, especially when at the beginning I wasn’t sure we would even raise $1500.00 for the whole month. I can’t believe this and I can’t thank you all enough. Here’s to praying we hit $10,000.00 to give to families affected by Congenital Heart Defects!!! 

2-14-2022 UPDATE:

$10,000! Can you believe it?! I can’t! This cause has moved so many of you to donate extremely generously and I cannot thank you all enough for making this fundraiser what it has become. This has been so humbling and eye opening. We are thankful for anyone who has donated, supported, or helped to grow this fundraiser in any way.

Might as well keep the trend going, upping the goal to $12,500! 

2-24-2022 UPDATE:

Once again the goal has been reached! Over $12,500 has been donated to Conquering CHD. Every day we are blown more and more with the extreme generosity that has been poured into this fundraiser from each and every one of you who supported, helped, donated, and shared. Increasing the goal today to $15,000 and praying we surpass that goal and more! 

The fundraiser will have a story on the local newspaper this Saturday and Monday, so I have decided to extend the Go Fund Me closing date through March 7th. That way, if anyone who reads the paper wants to donate, they can!
