Grieve Family Recovery from Violent Crime

Late Thursday night, Jan 20th, 2022, my loving husband put himself between a masked home invader's bullet and the lives of my daughter and myself. He miraculously has survived this action despite a violent criminal's utter disregard of his precious life. His injuries required a 6 day hospital stay, he has since been checked into rentals with us, recovering until our home is properly repaired and secured from any further break-in attempts.

The suspect has thankfully been apprehended. We were informed of this on the 11th day following the incident.

Without family support locally, we initially resorted to relying on dwindling credit to temporarily stay away from our unsecured home where the attempt on Ian's life and that night's traumatic events occured.

Returning so soon to the place where a gunman shot Ian while he's still injured, is a frightening hurdle we will be challenged to overcome.

Our family is stretching financially to make needed repairs & security precautions on our home in order to rest assured that we will be safe enough to return & remain protected there together.

We ask for your donations during our recovery to replace the approaching month's lost wages and the additional weeks following as Ian's physical healing is still in progress along with any potentially challenging psychological trauma from this event.
