Grieving parents who have lost their babies

Hello, my name is Bernadette - but people call me Bernie, Mum, Bern, Boo-boo and Glammy. My daughters delight to call me Nurse Bernie Kearney. Makes them laugh.

I am a retired nurse, but I still work as I absolutely love it. Lucky for me I also love dancing, so this Strictly event is a bit of a soul sensation. I will be dancing my heart out to raise money for the Liverpool Women’s (LWH) Honeysuckle appeal.

The Honeysuckle Appeal aims to renovate a number of bereavement spaces across the hospital for individuals and families who have experienced a loss. These facilities will help to improve the experience for many families during their time at LWH.
