Griffin's 2nd Life Changing Surgery

Griffin is a beautiful black chow boy that just turned 2 years old. He has been through so much in his young life, he has already had entropion surgery, a complicated neuter and just when he was ready to find his forever home, he jumped off the bed to save his foster mom from the dangerous mailman and stopped walking, eating and drinking. We brought Griffin to the Emergency hospital and after many tests and trial and error it was discovered that he was born with a defect in his hind legs. Both knee caps are located on the side of his legs.

2 surgeries are needed to ensure that Griffin got to live a pain free life, the vet told us if we were unable to financially swing the surgeries, the only humane thing to do was to euthanize him because it would be cruel to allow him to live in such pain.

On March 7th, Griffin was able to have his 1st surgery by the grace of our followers generosity and support. The day of surgery the new X-rays showed the left leg had gotten much worse over the last few weeks so the left hind leg was the first surgery. He had a completely torn ACL, the removed the meniscus and had to break his leg in 2 areas, added plates and screws and carved out a new knee socket
