Grimassi Post-Fire Support Fund
Donation protected
Beloved pagan and Witchcraft elders and teachers Raven and Stephanie Grimassi suffered a terrible loss this past week when a sudden, accidental fire devastated their home and business. Without a place to live, and with nothing but the clothes on their backs, the Grimassis are in need of support and assistance from the community in order to rebuild and move forward.
The Grimassis have run the online store Raven’s Loft for many years, along with the Ash, Birch, and Willow online school, and Raven is a well-known author of numerous books on the Craft, including Italian Witchcraft, Wiccan Mysteries, The Witch’s Craft, The Cauldron of Memory, and many others.
While insurance should cover the damage to the structure, and the eventual repairs, the house is currently uninhabitable and the Grimassis expect to be displaced from their home for six months to upwards of a year. Their main source of income, the Raven’s Loft online store, is inoperable. While Raven is an author and public speaker and teacher, this tragedy is sure to disrupt and limit his writing and teaching time as well, and therefore his income.
Facing the loss of a lifetime of memories and having to start over at a point in your life when many are making retirement plans, and without a regular income, is an overwhelming situation. The Grimassis have helped so many others through troubling times and now they find themselves on the receiving end, humbly turning to the community for help.
Since it is critical for the Grimassis to cover their month-to-month expenses while they are getting back on their feet, this fundraiser looks to help cover the cost of their mortgage and some monthly bills, as well as initial replacement of essentials like clothing and personal items, while they are working to restore their home and business, out of respect for their important work in our spiritual communities.
We’re seeking an amount of approximately $2,500 per month, for a minimum fundraiser of $15,000 for six months, upwards of $30,000 to cover things for an entire year, if necessary. Donations in any amount are welcome and even if you are unable to donate, you can contribute by helping us to spread the word about this fundraiser. Thank you for your thoughts, donations, and support during this most difficult time.
